About Amy
For years, I have enjoyed helping young people find their voice by encouraging them to create meaningful, personal essays for their high school and college applications. Once I understood the significance of creating a consistent and holistic application, I transitioned to provide full-service college advising.
After working as a public affairs strategist and marketing writer for many years, I was excited to discover my professional experience translates well when helping to identify good fit colleges and develop a smart application strategy, as well as connect and communicate successfully with young people on this very special journey.
My family lives in Burlingame and when Iām not on the sidelines cheering for my two teenagers, I enjoy playing tennis, snow skiing and spending time in the outdoors.
I have a Masters in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University, a Bachelors in English from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and a Certificate in College Admissions and Career Planning from the University of California, Berkeley.
I am an associate member of (IECA) Independent Educational Consultants Association. I frequently attend conferences, participate in professional development webinars, and visit colleges, to continue building my knowledge in the constantly-evolving field that is college advising.
